In celebration of International Women's Day, we are spotlighting some of the amazing women at LEO LIN who support and inspire us everyday.

    Who is your biggest inspiration?
The two women who inspire me most are my Mum and my Godmother, Aunty Val.
What inspires me about them both is their resilience, grace and kindness and how much they have each done for our families (as with all mums!).
Both women have helped define the woman and Mum I hope to be today.

  2. What has been your proudest career moment so far?
Over the years, the feeling of participating in Paris or New York Fashion Week is pretty hard to beat.
Both markets are at the epicentre of our industry and it's always a very proud moment to represent a brand on a global stage.
My favourite moment to date was in September ‘22 in New York, witnessing buyers react to Leo’s ‘In Bloom’ collection with gasps of appreciation.

What is your first memory of LEO LIN?
The thing that stood to me immediately about Leo was his talent and authenticity.
His genuine quest to ensure the wearer feels confidence and joy through what she wears is what I love and appreciate most.

What is your favourite LEO LIN piece?
It's hard to beat Leo’s tailoring.

Who is your biggest inspiration?
My mother is undoubtedly my biggest inspiration not only in fashion but in most of the decisions I make in life.
She is a woman that devoted her life to develop her professional career and nurture her family all at the same time and did it IN STYLE.
She is ambitious and thrived in times where women were expected to be home carers and nothing else. She would do monthly work trips to London and Paris, and every time would come back adorned in the most contemporary trends, often a shock to her conservative friends and relatives.

What has been your proudest career moment so far?
The first LEO LIN Showing in Paris in the spectacular Parisian palace on Place des Vosges literally gave me the chills. It's a milestone to be showcased and represented in such a grand way in the capital of fashion.

What is your first memory of LEO LIN?
I remember meeting Leo for the first time 2 years ago, his energy and passion for his brand was contagious. He ran me through each one of his designs in the showroom explaining every detail and inspiration behind it.

What is your favourite LEO LIN piece?
After two years working for the brand I have quite an assortment of LEO LIN pieces in my wardrobe so picking just one is hard!
I’d say Leo’s specialty for me is making me feel the most feminine version of myself, so I would have to say the Rachel Slip Dress.

  1. BRENDA
    1. Chinese Market Communications Manager
  2.
  3. Who is your biggest inspiration?
If I have to pick one person, it would have to be my Mum. She has taught me to be humble but also to not shy away from achieving my best. She has taught me to be independent and encouraged me to experience as many things as possible.

What has been your proudest career moment so far?
The proudest career moment for me was when I first moved to Australia. I was forced to learn and adapt to a new working environment with a different culture, language and way of working. I’m happy to look back and feel proud of how much I've grown, both professionally and personally.

What is your first memory of LEO LIN?
I noticed it as a brand that celebrates fun and vibrance, yet is very feminine, which I love. Leo is a talented designer and also fun and genuine, which is a unique combination that’s hard to find!

What is your favourite LEO LIN piece?
My wedding dresses! When I told Leo I was getting married, he offered to design my wedding dress. I was then stunned to see that he had not only designed one but two dresses for my special day! One of the dresses has since been added to our ongoing collection, called the “Brenda”.

Last year, I went to New York and worked in the LEO LIN showroom for our NYFW presentation. We hosted showings for some of the biggest department stores and online retailers in the world. It was a dream experience.

I was working for a magazine in Newcastle, and we loaned some LL pieces for a cover shoot.

I adore our scarves. The prints are so beautiful and can be styled in so many ways. They also take up no space which makes them ideal for travelling.

      2. Who is your biggest inspiration?
Without question, my Grandma, Dot. She was the ultimate vibe in 60s dressing, Jackie Kennedy meets Twiggy. Dancing around in her matching suits and fur coats are among my favourite memories.

What has been your proudest career moment so far?
This is a tough one. I think the most defining moment for me would actually be interning backstage at London Fashion Week when I was 16…that really paved the way for me knowing my future path.

  1.

What is your first memory/impression of LEO LIN?

I first met Leo by chance back in 2018 and never knew our paths would cross again. Now I can’t imagine working anywhere else.

What is your favourite LEO LIN piece?
It has got to be the Sunflower Suit for me. What Leo’s doing with embroidery and tailoring is so different to what I am used to seeing in the market and I just adore that every piece has such a special element to it.
